Warm-up matches

The ECB confirmed that India would play two T20 warm-up fixtures against Northamptonshire and Derbyshire. India then won both matches, Derbyshire by 7 wickets and Northamptonshire 10 runs.

As we are looking forward to watching the following match of 1st T20I on 7 of July, there are some highlights that deserve to be kept.

James Anderson and Stuart Broad as experienced ones

England has a superb middle order with in-form players but the opening pair’s lack of runs is their big worry in this series. They have the experience of James Anderson and Stuart Broad to back up the firepower of Matty Potts and Jack Leach in the playing XI.

Referring to India’s performance in recent times

India’s batting needs to step up in this historic Test match and they have one of the quality bowling attacks in world cricket now. They need to address their middle-order issues and post a big score to help their team win the match. India is expected to win this match due to their great form and cooperation recently against South Africa. India is expected to win the match and seal the series 3-1.

Both teams have strong motivation

On paper, India is leading the series 2-1 and they can’t lose the series. England desperately needs a win to prevent a home turf loss. But England’s recent form in Test cricket under Ben Stokes and Brendon McCullum is quite a level above and England would start favourites in this close battle.
